Enhancing Saudi-Omani Cooperation Across Multiple Sectors
On February 20, 2025, in a significant step to strengthen Saudi-Omani relations and cooperation, H.E. Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Sultanate of Oman, paid an official visit to H.E. Khalid bin Hashel Al-Musalhi, Undersecretary of the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Administrative and Financial Affairs. During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation between the embassy and the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs across various fields were discussed.
The Saudi ambassador highlighted the importance of ongoing cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing that the visit contributes to strengthening bilateral relations and achieving shared objectives.
Discussions also focused on facilitating procedures and enhancing coordination between government entities and the private sector. This aims to support economic growth and broaden the scope of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman.
Signed Agreements:
The Saudi-Omani Forum witnessed the signing of three cooperation agreements between several Omani and Saudi companies, reflecting both countries’ commitment to strengthening economic and trade ties.
1- First Agreement: “Establishing a Cloud-Based Warehouse and Inventory Management System” between Bayanat Technology Company in the Sultanate of Oman and Majmad Transport and Storage Company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
2- Second Agreement: It concerns providing specialized legal consultancy in the Omani market and facilitating commercial and investment operations, between Dr. Sarhan Al-Raisi Law Firm and Mohammed Al-Balawi Business Group.
3- Third Agreement: Establishing a “Gold and Jewelry Manufacturing Plant” between Dash Mas International Company in the Sultanate of Oman and Al-Osloota International for Gold and Jewelry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The forum also focused on several sectors, including real estate, mining, industry, oil and gas, logistics, healthcare, information technology, finance, and retail. In the logistics sector, Bader International Shipping (BIS) participated to discuss ways to enhance logistics efficiency.
The next day, on February 21, 2025, the ambassador attended a luncheon in Al Dhahirah Governorate at the invitation of Sheikh Ali Al-Kalbani. The occasion provided an opportunity to exchange views and strengthen cooperation between businessmen from both countries.
