- Concealing prohibited items: If prohibited items are concealed within the shipment, the customer shall bear the financial penalty stipulated in accordance with applicable laws.
- Storage fees: If the shipping fee is not paid after the shipment is received, the storage fee will be calculated 14 hours after the shipment is received.
- Policy amendment: If the policy is amended, the customer bears the fees for issuing the new policy.
- Refusal of shipment after arrival of courier: If the customer refuses the shipment after the courier arrives to collect it, the customer shall bear the courier's fees.
- Box size: The box size must be appropriate for the weight of the shipment, as the weight may be calculated based on the dimensions if they are not appropriate.
- Company liability for breakage: The company is not responsible for any damage to the glass inside the shipment during transport.
- Shipping to the airport: If the shipment is destined for the airport (CER), the recipient undertakes to clear the shipment from the airport and pay any applicable customs duties.
- Shipping delays: Shipments may be delayed based on the local policies of the countries to which they are shipped, which is beyond the company's control.
Which is better, air freight or sea freight?
- Answer: The choice between sea and air freight depends on several factors such as the type of shipment, the customer's budget, and the time available.
- Air freight is much faster but more expensive, and therefore suitable if the shipment is urgent.
- Sea freight is less expensive but takes longer. It is recommended for shipments that do not require expedited delivery and is the best option for shipping large quantities of goods.
Does the shipping price include packaging?
- Answer: No, the shipping price does not include packaging.If you require packaging, we can provide this service separately at an additional cost. We will package your shipment securely and safely using appropriate materials and affix the necessary warning labels.If you choose to pack your shipment yourself, you must ensure it is properly wrapped before shipping to guarantee its safety during transit. It is important that the packaging is secure to prevent any damage or loss of the shipment's contents.
What items are prohibited from being shipped?
Badr International Shipping Company does not accept shipments of certain materials that are considered dangerous or prohibited under international law. Prohibited materials include:
- Cash, jewelry, gold, and valuables
- Liquids such as honey, perfumes, and Zamzam water, as some liquids are considered non-shipable due to the risks involved in transport.
- Devices and electronics such as mobile phones, iPads, and devices containing dry or liquid batteries, as they may contain flammable materials or may cause problems during charging.
- Military equipment, ammunition, weapons, and military clothing are prohibited, as are shipments containing military-grade equipment or hazardous materials.
- Perishable products such as glass and some food items may be damaged during shipping.
- Explosive, toxic and dangerous products such as hazardous chemicals.
- Cigarettes, drugs and similar items, as shipments of prohibited materials are not accepted by governments.
Is it door-to-door shipping?
- Britain and East Asian countries: Yes, shipping is door-to-door, where we arrange to receive the shipment from the customer's address and deliver it directly to the recipient's address in those countries.
- For all other countries: Shipping is to the airport only, where the recipient must clear the shipment from the local airport.
What is the minimum shipping weight at Bis?
- East Asia: The minimum shipping weight is 30 kg.
- Rest of the world: The minimum shipping weight is 45 kg. These weights vary depending on the destination, and the customer must consider the minimum weight for each destination when shipping.
